Folding happens in-house, straight after cutting. Fewer handling steps, shorter lead times, and bend allowances that are already dialled in for our own laser cut parts.
What to send for a folded part
- Best: a STEP model of the finished part, or a flat DXF with bend lines on their own layer.
- Material and thickness.
- Quantity, and whether this is a prototype or the start of a repeat run.
- Any critical dimensions or faces, so we know what matters most when setting bend allowances.
If you only have the folded dimensions, send those. We can develop the flat pattern and confirm it back to you before cutting, and we can advise on bend allowances and relief design where a drawing needs it.
